Dear Richard and co
I can't describe how much I enjoyed our day with
you all. It was the best day I've had since I got married ten years
ago (which is a bit ironic since I've recently left husband!). You
all made me feel so welcome despite bringing a possible screeming
brat in tow. The fact you gave me a special mention at the end and
an escort throughout the day made me feel very very .......(not sure
how to describe what I felt after - nearly in tears). Thank you all
so so much. I will never forget the time we had. I think the reason
J**** was so well behaved was the fact that he was interested in
what was going on. I think it is so important to give our kids the
right start in life, which means the right interests and people to
mix with from the word go. I grew up in the country but have lived
my adult life in cities (oxford, london, bristol, sheffield;
exception being totally rural portugal where ferreting is un-heard
of). I wish for J***** to get the benefit of rural english life to
give him good stead for his future and the future of the planet
(something which we cannot ignore and that was pointed out on
saturday regarding the breeding seasons of rabbits; we have no
winters anymore). Your day of ferreting has changed my plans for my
future (and thus J****'s). I have always wanted to be a game keeper
but never got there. I have been finding myself saying to people "if
I could live my life again I would be a game keeper". Well after
your day on Saturday I have decided that as you only get one life,
and I'm only middle-aged, why not try to realize my dream as it
really is what I want; not to mention the benefits J**** can reap
from it. So I am going to try to make my dream come true. If there
is anyone out there that can offer me an apprenticeship in
gamekeeping, or wants an assistant or anything in that area, please
let me know. Are there any courses I can do? I can shoot, drive
tractors, lorries (clean licence), love DIY, recently gutted rabbit
(!!!), build pens, ...............
Can you help me in this area.
Anyway, I'm digressing. I ripped up the refund
for the day as I was going to join regardless. I will send you by
post, the photos I took of the day. I can't thank you enough for
making it so special for me and being in contact on such a personal
note. Richard and Shaun(spelling?) - your wives were so good to me
with J****, not to mention your kids; please can you give them all a
huge thank you for me - I never got to know their names (except for
Grace). Thank you all again for the most wonderful day and I hope to
see you all again soon.
C and J

Hi Richard,
Just writing to say a big thank you to you ,
Ivan, Bruce, Shayne your good lady and all your helpers for
yesterdays ferreting course.
We all thought the day was extremely well
organised, professional, friendly and above all most enjoyable.
I am now considering getting a ferret and am sure
I will be in touch again soon to join your organisation.

Dear Richard,
I would just like to
thank you and everyone else involved on the ferreters day last
weekend. I had a fantastic time and picked up some priceless tips
along the way. The effort which all the volunteers put in was
amazing and very much appreciated. I was inspired by the whole thing
and i'm already working my dogs and ferrets with much more
confidence. The most important thing I think I learned was to just
enjoy being in the countryside.
Many thanks,
M*********** .......
